Had an issue recently with macros in excel and groupwise with computers running office365.
To resolve the issue we repaired the office install and it was ok for a day then it came back, so found another way to roll back to a specific version then stop the updates
The following will roll back office to 16.0.6366.2062
c:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.6366.2062
then if you edit this registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration\
Change UpdatesEnabled to False
Many thanks for the post, Michael.
Saved me today as we generate our sales quotes and proposals using Excel pricing tool, loaded with VBA and since Friday they were failing to load and just hanging Excel. I note Microsoft have withdrawn this part of their recent Office365 update.

Rory
Was a bit of a nightmare…ive disabled all updates on this and will now pull Office365 in line with our update policy on other major applications, with more testing on different applications etc.
Glad it helped.
